ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Now in its 37h year under the direction of founder Antony De Vecchi, the Northeast American School of Dance is committed to offering high-caliber instruction in classical ballet and other dance forms, and to making this instruction accessible to everyone, regardless of age or body “type.” Our classes are artistically rigorous but non-competitive, offering a supportive atmosphere meant to encourage each individual’s personal achievement. Our goal is to encourage both a love of and a respect for dance that can last a lifetime.
Our studio is conveniently located on Main Street in downtown Northampton. When not being used by our classes, the large and attractive space is available for rental.
Our adult division is the most dynamic in the Pioneer Valley, offering Classical Ballet at various levels (including Beginners), Modern Jazz, and Hip-Hop. Enrollment in the adult classes is ongoing. You may join any time by simply attending class (please arrive 5–10 minutes before start of first class to introduce yourself to the instructor). Our dance card offers a flexible payment option.
